The book was written by David Mason, and published by the Historical Society of Beaudesert, with a grant from the Queensland Government ANZAC Centenary Commemoration Fund.

The Soldiers & Nurses of the Beaudesert District in World War I (1914—1919)

This book contains the stories of 628 soldiers, 7 nurses, and 12 indigenous servicemen, and 87 Gallipoli Campaign Veterans who served from the Beaudesert district in World War I. With 370 pages and 150 photos of service personnel the book also includes letters from the front line soldiers to home; diaries; reports of farewells and welcome home events, and the recommendations for gallantry awards. The book is part of the Historical Society of Beaudesert’s contribution to the Anzac Centenary Commemorations for 2014- 2019 and is funded through a grant from the Queensland Anzac Centenary grants program and A J Bush & Sons.
