Where did we come from and where are we going?
The Historical Society of Beaudesert is helping to preserve the stories and legacies of our pioneers from the days of the Moreton Bay settlement to the present day. Individuals, groups, families and school classes are all invited to the Beaudesert Museum to see our Celebration of Australian ingenuity.
27th - 29th of June 2025 we commemorate 'Milbanks Cottage' 150th year. Imagine the happenings this skillfully restored old building has seen in its lifetime. The cottage stands proudly within the Museum grounds, defying the many challenges mother nature has thrown up, as well as the rigors of being moved twice in its life, the last time, to its current location, in 1978. There are so many stories and things to learn about this old cottage. Complete with generously donated furnishings from the period, it is a popular backdrop for photos taken by our guests during a visit to the Museum. Join us as we celebrate during the weekend. We look forward to seeing you there. Our Facebook page will have all the details.
Our Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday 28th September 2024. Membership fees are now due. Reminders have been sent out, please make contact if your renewal has not arrived.
