Westwood Cottage
“Westwood” is a local, late 1800’s timber cottage that was relocated to the Beaudesert Museum in 2019.
Beaudesert Historical Museum formed a small committee to save Westwood cottage. The committee members were Ian Moss, Susan Weymouth, Patrick Jackson, Mark Plunkett and Ric Enright.
The previous owners generously donated the cottage to the society. We raised enough money to save the cottage and move it to the front of the museum grounds. Thank you to all of the businesses that sponsored this project.
We extend our thanks to the team of workers from Your Town that helped us restore the cottage.
On a very sad note one of our committee members, Ric Enright, who was a true gentleman, and a great source of support and advice on the committee, has passed away. He will be sadly missed. We have named the meeting room in the Westwood cottage in his memory.

The Beaudesert Historical Society thanks Scenic Rim Regional Council for their ongoing support on both general and specific project funding we receive.
Thank you
These businesses sponsored our Save Westwood project. They were wonderful in their support of a local community project.
